Let's welcome the MC for our forthcoming spoken word battle royale, 'Slam at The Emporium'

This special guest will be charged with bigging up the competing poets, whipping the audience into a frenzy and baying for ALL your whoops and cheers.
Jonathan, winner of Cheltenham Poetry Festival Slam 2023, has seen his work published in literary journals and newspapers across Europe, North America, and Asia. He has won several major international poetry competitions and regularly headlines to a packed audience at spoken word events up and down the country. His debut collection “Goldfish” published by stairwell books in April 2024 was met with critical acclaim. Jonathan is currently working on a new poetry anthology.
Jonathan is enormously excited to host Slam at The Emporium: "At the slam, I am really looking forward to hearing what the various contestants have to say, their unique styles and performances. Sharing poetry is a deeply intimate thing which can allow a person to truly blossom, and I love seeing that happen."
'Slam at The Emporium' takes place on 20th February 7.30pm at Emporium Bar Southsea
