Please welcome Elliot Msindo, a rising voice on the Pompey poetry scene. Elliot will soon take to the stage to showcase his distinctive style of performance at our forthcoming competition 'Slam at The Emporium'.


Elliot Msindo the Poet  is a poet and and writer whose passion for creative writing started when he was still in high school writing poems, short stories and plays. Positive feedback from both teachers and students gave him confidence to continue.


Elliot's upbringing prompted him to choose themes related to social justice, mental health and global inequalities. These themes are also influenced by his profession as a Social worker where working with vulnerable people is his core duty.


Elliot Msindo is a published author and Poet with two collections of poems on mental health and one short novel. "I fight me" (2018) "God's little book of emotional health (2020) "Welcome to London" (2023).


Elliot has since ventured into spoken word poetry in music with a couple of songs already released in the last few years. His aspiration is to continue inspiring people through poetry, writing and music.

Slam at The Emporium' takes place on Thursday 20th February at The Emporium Bar Southsea. Show starts at 7.30pm.
